What MPEX is Doing to Protect Your Personal Data

With law 25 coming into full effect very soon, it is necessary that your company takes the proper steps and measures to assure the implementation of policies regarding the act. Company-wide implementation and training of new policies are crucial in the success of keeping data and personal information safe. We at MPEX have already imposed many measures, and continue to adapt our policies, as well as educate our staff, to comply with all of the personal data security requirements regarding the new law.

Our latest version of MPEX will fully protect personal data by including these additional measures:

    • Application of multi-factor authentication (MFA)
    • deletion of confidential employee information when it is no longer
    • encryption of employee information in confidential and sensitive fields

Users will be obligated to use the multi-factor authentication to access MX Solution in the third quarter of 2023. It is important to note that users phone numbers must be up to date, as they will be receiving their authentication codes via SMS. The MFA will be automatically set up for users, and will be required before every attempted login. As of May 1st, this modification will apply to employees, payroll officers, human resources officers, supervisors, and all with access to MX Solution. A multi-factor authentication will make MX Solution harder to access. A second source of validation will reduce the risk of personal data breach. It is important to note that users using single sign on (SSO) are contractually obligated to implement a multi-factor authentication to access MX Solution. Law 25 demands significant changes, however, at MPEX, we value the integrity of personal information and data. We are doing everything required to keep users safe and abide by law 25 even before it takes its full effect in 2024.
